Sarah Cowboy The New Year Eve Club Book 3 edition by Terry Irene Blain Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
I was excited to review this book and the entire series of books. This series is about a group of girls, friends from college, and their getting together on New Year's Eve. When they were in college, they made a list of qualities they wanted to find in a husband. With all of them single again, they make a new list and challenge to find someone by next year.
I was a little reluctant about the title having "cowboy" in it. Not to worry, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Sarah and Kit were awesome characters. Their spark was real and enjoyable. Not only did this story have the romance in it, but enjoyed the on-set location. Living and working in a small town did not short this story any adventure and excitement. The courtship of Sarah and Kit was a lot of fun and romantic. Their friends and co-workers on the set were also a great addition to the story.
I have really enjoyed this little series and like how all of the books have different authors, but they have been able to do very similar work. I would recommend this and all books to all romance readers. No worries, as the romance doesn't get to "hot", but is very enjoyable.
My Review
How many of us have had brilliant plans for our lives but when we sit back and take inventory, find that things didn't quite work out as planned? I know I have. Sarah and her 4 best friends have done that too and that is how they created The New Year's Eve Club. Sarah knows she needs some adventure in her life. Tired of being 'Always on time, Always practical', she sets out to make a change as a part of the New Year's Eve Club. Little does she know at the time that her changes will involve a hot, handsome cowboy who will take her for the ride of her life.
FIVE WOMEN. ONE NIGHT. ONE YEAR TO GET IT RIGHT.
The Good Loving Cowboys as I do, it was not hard at all to have a reason to pick up this book to read it. Though not familiar with Ms. Blain's writing, I fell right into the comfortable rhythm that she set. As I got to know Sarah better, I found I could easily relate to her - her sense of practicality and patterns. Once she met Kit, I could relate to her mixed feelings as well. Adventures sound fun but go so contrary to a practical personality. Thankfully, as Sarah got to know Kit and could see that while everything about the man was adventurous, he was a good guy. The simple yet descriptive manner used by Ms. Blair was perfect against the backdrop of a good man with a cowboy's heart.
The Really-NOT-Bad Was there really any 'bad'? I liked the way Ms, Blain mixed private time for Sarah and Kit and group time spent with the background characters. The secondary characters were depicted well enough that I was able to develop feelings about them as well as our hero and heroine. Due to the way Sarah and Kit's relationship was arranged, I truly could not see how there could be a happy ending and that made me sad. That just goes to show you how well written and developed these characters are. As is often the case, I began reading late in the evening and intended to stop part way through the book and finish it the next day. Could. Not. Do. It. I had to know. I had to see it through, even if the end was not what I wanted it to be.
The Snuggly This was a story that started out being about fun and carefree time spent together by a couple with spontaneous chemistry. The Snuggly could have been really hot and heavy and descriptive, which has it's place. However, what developed was a wonderful romantic relationship, making their intimacy loving and tender and sensual. There was enough description that you were well aware of what took place without feeling awkward reading this out loud to, say, your Mother. There was great kissing and lots of snuggling and I loved every minute of it.
The Rest This was a fantastic happy and heartfelt romance. It was all about a change from the usual for both the hero and heroine and living in the moment, something I am trying to do more of. Being instead of always Doing. This book is a fantastic way to begin the New Year's Eve Club series because it really makes you want more. As it is, I cannot wait to read the three I have not yet read. I would absolutely recommend reading Sarah's Cowboy (The New Year's Eve Club) to anyone who wants a contemporary loving romance. If you like cowboys like I do, well, that is a bonus. Sarah's Cowboy is like riding double on a motorcycle - "... the most fun a man can have with a woman on the wrong side of him."
A solid 5/5 Stars with a Heat Rating of 2/5 Flames

This is the first book in a five Novella series ( The New Year's Eve Club )
I was in a bit of slump with my reading and when a friend suggested this book i just say the word Cowboy and jumped on it.
Terry Irene Blain is a new Author to me and i loved her writing style the story flows nicely and you get a lot of info about the film sets and what makes them tick.
And i have to say it was such a refreshing change to what i have been reading lately and the build up of the love story was awesome.
10 years after making their first list of what they wanted in a man 5 friends meet up on new years eve to celebrate. When they find out how their life's have been and the lack of men in their life's they make a new list. And this is Sarah's story and what a sweet story it is.
Sarah wants adventure in her life so when she gets a job on a film set she sees this as her chance of changing somethings in her life.
She is literally swept of her feet on her first day by a handsome Cowboy Kit who is the stuntman coordinator.
Kit is just lovely he is passionate about his work and when him and Sarah get close he goes out of his way to respect her wishes. And he rides a motorbike and dresses up as a cowboy i was in heaven reading this book.
There are a few sex scene's they aren't heavy just a little spicy and written to fit in with the story nicely.
Sarah does have worries and hates the gossip on set and she can't seem to over that Kit and her relationship is just a fling but a accident on set changes that and well you will have to read the book to find out if there is a HEA. This book was a pleasure to read and i will look forward to the next story in this series.
I like how the author brings you into the lives of the women and then centers on Sarah and her realistic fears and joys of a new relationship. I would recommend this book for a fun and relaxing read.
